Default Shift Points?

So I have been messing around with the shift points on my 07 laramie. I have the Bullydog GT tuner. The performance is excellent, but now i want to see what kind of economy I can get out of it. Different **** points will give me different economy levels.

I just want to know what other people might be running and maybe would like to know whether a high shift point or a low shift point will increase economy... I think i have 1-2 set at 5700 and 3-4 at 5800 or 5900...

WOT shifts makes it a little hard on mileage. Normal running with easy short shifts usually is best for mileage. Althrough I'm considering a higher rpm at cruise might improve overall mileage. Not sure at this point.

I would suggest that 1-2 shift should be around 5775 or so and 2-3 should be at 5600 thats where i got the best results from and also Truckin suggested them to me and they turned out pretty good.

I noticed if you ride first gear to high you will lose time on a quarter mile run. You need for it to shift right after the peak of the gear too high then it wont role into second at the right time.

Just my experience...

ok so I just noticed something...When I am cruising at 110KM/H Im looking at my heads up display and it says that I am still driving in 4th. So its not shifting into overdrive, does this mean i have the 3-4 shift point set too high? This would probably hurt my mileage too, cause im sure that MDS does not kick in in 4th gear. IF it still engages with the tuner :S Not to mention the fact that the engine RPM is still raised.

Mine runs best with the WOT 1-2 5800 and 2-3 5600.

My trans will not go into 5th until about 60mph with the Diablosport tune.

MDS will work in any gear except 1st and rev. Unless in tow/haul or OD off modes.

Not sure about the Bullydog stuff. They are diesel guys. You are probably one of a handful of people who own one. We all use Diablosport or SC.

I have my WOT 1-2 set to 5900 and its working great there...still have to mess around with my 3-4. The thing is is my 5th wont even engage at 70MPH So does that mean its set too high or too low?

They are very good diesel guys, this tuner seems really good to me...i have not seen much of the others so i dont know what to expect. But for pretty much 50% off i cannot complain
