recently bought a 2004 2500 and it has the factory alarm / remote unlock but i am having an issue with the alarm going off if i open a door to soon after unlocking / disarming the truck. been trying to learn just to unlock the truck sooner so it has a couple seconds to disarm. but this morning i went out to clean some stuff out of the bed so i had unlocked it cleaned the bed out and open a door and the alarm goes off. the doors are unlocking fine just not sure why the alarm has a delay in it.

are you sure it didn't have an after market alarm installed? maybe call the previous owner and ask him if he ever had that problem

 

Certainly sounds after market to me. Time to find out who makes it and find a dealer to service it
