Default truck went in today...

well after my accident about 3 or so months ago, i noticed that the new paint was off a bit from the rest of the truck. from an angle it looks fine, but went you look at it straight on and in the sun light you can notice the difference, at least i do. anyway, about a month ago i went back to the body shop where i had the work done and they noticed the difference too and said they would fix it. just brought it in this morning, hopefully i get it back soon and have it lookin' good. they did a great job on it, you can't even tell its been in an accident other than the color being off. no paint imperfections. will post pics when i get her back.

good to hear they took it right back. color matching ain't exactly easy, so I can understand it being off once in a while, as long as they man up and fix it.
although with it being a 2008 you'd think they could just get the factory color and it would match right up since the old paint didn't fade much. wonder if they are sourcing the paint from somewhere else?

haha, i agree, people can be idiots...but i was the idiot in this one. i pulled into my driveway and took the turn a little too sharp and struck a telephone pole thats about a foot away from my driveway. i was thinking the samething with it being an '08, i figured it would be east to match up. the new paint wasn't darker, which i thought it may be seeing the rest of the paint would fade a bit, it was actually lighter and didn't have as much "sparkle". they said they would darken it up and put more flake in it. the shop is really good and comes highly recommended from everyone around my part. my insurance company didn't need to send out an adjuster because they honor the shop's work. i'm anxious to see what it looks like, should only be a day or two. when i got the work done initially it only took two and a half days.
