I was telling my father in law when writting this that from the first picture of all the parts to the finished product it's hard to believe it's the same stuff.

I reset the pcm and went for a drive last night. I re-used the filter for the main reason of wanting to know the difference between what I was use to and the new way and didnt want a new filter affecting this.

I can tell you the truck responds much better compared to the same filter hidden behind the bumper.

Throttle response is clearly better, the truck is louder, and there does seem to be a boost after you floor it. Kinda like rolling at 60 you punch it and as your speed increases the pull gets harder. Has the feel of rolling into boost just not at the extreme of building 15psi. (I have owned 2 turbo and 1 super charged in my years of driving) The run from 60-80 seemed much quicker.

Thats kind the point of ram air though. The faster you go the more power you make.

as longs as you dont put that part of the bumper under water he will be fine thats where my intake sucks air in and i have not had a issue with water getting in
