Who has had any takeoff pieces painted at Maaco?
Hey all,
Got my Reflexxion hood the other day and now it needs paint. Im wondering how bad is Maaco with take off pieces? I know I wouldnt bring a whole vehicle to them due to the massive amount of overspray, but how bad could they screw up a hood?
The only reason Im considering them is lack of money. They said they could do it for $150. The "real" shops say about $350. Thats a pretty good difference. I just dont want to pay $150 and then have to take it off in a year and pay the $350 anyways cuz maaco sux.
So.....any thoughts are appreciated.

I got my whole truck painted there before the cheap way once, and it got a few paint chips and they repaired it for free. That was using there cheap paint but it held up pretty good. I think im going to take it there to get my bumpers color matched.
Haha. yeah, Im not going there. bad and dumb idea.
Took me all of 10 minutes to change my mind on that one.

I'd never take a vehicle there, they are the McDonalds of the auto paint industry. Wouldn't take a hood either. I'd prolly take a set of fender flares or maybe a hood scoop there to save some $ over a real paint shop, but that'd be about it...
