I was at my tire shop last year for a state inspection and the mechanic tells me I have a odd wear pattern on my frt tires and I probably need an alignment. I tell him 'I don't think so", but if he thinks it needs to be checked then I'll only pay if it is found to be out of spec. Off to the alignment rack we go and he sets everything up and finds the alignment to be within spec. I hadn't told him I had just rotated the tires and he was looking at the tires off the rear. Besides there was no indication of tire wear other than being spun. He didn't charge me, but I gave him $5 anyway for his effort. There are some good folks out there, but you have to be a little careful.

there is a tool that the FSM calls for, But it isn't really needed, Alignment is easy on these trucks even without it.
