'02 had the 5.9 w/ a 46RE, the '03's had a5.9's w/ 46RE or 5.7's w/ 545RFE. There are more options if you wanted to go with the 4.7. mMight be better for mileage if you don't plan on towing with it.

 

im prolly going to try and stay with the 02 just for money purposes but thats not to say if I find a good deal on an 03 that I wont try to get it. but as far as the 02 goes has it seemed that people have had better luck with the 5.9 or 4.7. and by this im meaning just on longtivity and less problems. not worrying about power or things like that
