Well u can try that but its not easy. You can buy precut tint for the taillights on ebay for $18. The best way is using nite shades, just search it in the search section. Im just not a fan of regular tint on taillights b/c i have ocd when it comes to my truck and 1 little air bubble would ruin my world, lol just do nite shades- 3 light coats nite shades and 3 light coats clear.

On eBay they have smoked vinyl sheets that come 24x36" and that's enough to do all 3 lights and have some left over it's thick and lasts long...reg tint will end up peeling...this stuff is made like reg vinyl grphics ... Ii have had mine since last April or may and they still look new shiney and no bubbles if done right this roll only cost 20bucks from metro decals and they have a video of how to do it don't buy precuts they won't fit properly and if you buy the sheets you get to trim the excess off look at my pics and teaches pics that's whatwe used.....

well using the vinyl tint IMO is the better idea. you can always remove it and theres little to screw up..

regular window tint is NOT meant for outside use. It just can't hack the elements and is not meant for that type of exposure. I'd go vinyl or Nightshades spray on.
