When I did mine and flushed the whole system I used a case, 12 quarts. I think it holds 7 or 8 quarts, but you need another 4-5 to flush.

That is making an assumption that ours hold the same amount......

I bought mine at oriellys. I bought their brand of atf-4 because it was only 6 dollars a quart instead of 11 or 12 for some of the high end stuff. call me cheap, but it is still synthetic!

what the hell is BG? got a linkey for us lazeys..? i had mine flushed when i got it and havent had any problems yet... some guys say not to flush it with close to 100K (mine had 80K) but IMO if its done right, there should be no loose stuff in there to plug up the tranny...
i think the 4x4's have bigger pans, thus more fluid...

my manual says 14-16 liters (about 15 to 17 quarts) for an overhaul and 5.2 liters (about 6 quarts) for a service...

jay- i have a pdf '04 manual that i could send to you if you need one

yup, like weed said, its 17qts. unless you have a huge cooler, then it might be a tad more. but a flush, and filter change would be awesome. it will get you all new fluid in there, and wont possibly clog up the filters like just a flush would do. and im assuming the new seals would be the filter seal for the sump filter, and the pan seal. you could do the same thing yourself fairly easy though. just drop your pan and change the filters, replace the pan. fill it back up with 6-8qts. then disconnect the send line to the cooler, start the engine and let it pump a quart out, shut it off and fill with a fresh quart, then its just lather, rinse, repeat until you use all 17qts. you could get the filter kit from napa or rockauto for like $40-50, and it comes with a pan gasket, a sump filter seal, and both filters. then get yourself 17qts of wtv fluid you want (i used RP once, and most recently valvolene atf+4)

as for the BG stuff, i honestly dont know a lot about it. i would assume its not much different from any fully synthetic atf+4. their warranty does sound pretty sweet though, as long as you dont mind paying a shop to do the work (which i do mind)
