Default newbie question

i'm looking into buying a dodge truck i really like the styling of the 3rd gen. and have had many people tell me they run great into high milage. i'm looking for a daily driver that i know will get me there and just in case i can get parts for. I've found a 99 1500 with the v8 auto 4x4 and a 98 2500 with the v10 auto 4x4. both have about 140000 mi and are in good cosmetic condition.

basicly other than gas mileage which truck will be easier to own and service.

Well, a 99 and a 98 would actually be a 2nd gen truck. Third gen's are 02-08. I can't speak for the 2nd gen, but I've got no issues with my 04.

I suggest you start a thread pretaining to your question. This will give you the exposure you need to get good answers instead of being buried in someone else thread.
