Since my tax returns came in I was able to do quite a lot of things I've been aching to do for awhile.

I was able to refinance my loan and lowered my monthly payment by $120, purchased a new 5 year/100,000 mile warranty through my credit union, finally bought a new set of chrome steps, new stock headlights and tail lights, a tailgate spoiler similar to those on the 07's etc, and now I am about to buy a superchips flashpaq

Felt very good to finally do the things I've been wanting to do. Here's a picture of the truck today with the new steps. It's nice to finally be able to get in and out of the truck.

 

wow your really worried about that warranty huh....and what happened to the black outs...decided to go back to chrome ay...to badd...trucks look better blacked out....

wow, this has to be the first black truck i have seen going FROM blacked out... but hey, its your truck and if you're happy with it, thats all that matters.
i bet jay and a couple hundred other guys on here would be willing to trade you their chrome bumpers for your sport ones...

Haha don't get me wrong fellas, I LOVE my black sport bumpers. Maybe the old man took over me, or my relentless impulsiveness, but I had a sudden urge to bring her back to stock last fall after looking at the '09 and '10 Rams. I remembered pulling up to all the new trucks in the lot and them looking so prestigious and shiny, and then I looked over at mine and it just seemed dull; as if it had lost all of its flash. I stripped all of the emblems off, blacked the headlights and foglights, blacked the tail lights; felt like it had no contrast, just looked like a big black blob to me. Like I said though, the old man in me may have possessed me, but after I decided I wasn't going to pay $500 for a new truck, I wanted to do everything I could to make my '05 look like she did when she came off the assembly line (crazy I know lol).

If anyone is interested, I have a set of smoked headlights and smoked tail lights that I am willing to sell. PM me if your interested.

I also forgot to add to the list that I bought a new magnaflow muffler (the kind I had before, 12588) and some new magnaflow exhaust tips. Yep, I am mr. redundancy, but I guess that's how humans evole; trial and error.

 

How much did you pay for the tailgate spoiler? I am in the process of buying one from a guy and not sure what they usually go for.

 

I paid $84 shipped off of ebay. Came in 4 business days after purchase. I put it up on the tailgate to look at it today and it looks AWESOME. Gives the tailgate the much needed aerodynamic look.

 

Oh hell, I didn't know they were usually that much. Do you have a pic of it installed?
