Default Help Painting headlights??

So I saw the diy on painting your headlights that got hemi44 posted awhile back. But I have a few questions. First off, what kind of primer should i use. There are filler primer, sanable primer, different kinds. What is the best. Second, what kind of black paint. would it be plastic black spray paint. and last when Im going to re seal them do i put silicone on them, then put the headlights toegther and put them back into the oven or keep then seperated in the oven then when warmed up put silicone and then put them back together. If any one can help me, then I can start the process. thanks

I used fusion plastic paint. It doesn't require sanding and worked great.
As for putting them back together heat up the black housing and put the silicone on the clear cover (which I didn't heat) while the black housing is in the over.

Hope that was helpful

aiden why didnt you PM me about it? I told you I had done a DIY...Use a filler primer for plastic, make sure you use the adhesion promoter first, and I would spray a gloss black and THEN match over it with the 5oz dealer match can. If i went back and did it I would. And I would also paint the inside of the side marker too. take the .... out

Yea well PM me any questions, and if you want I will PM you my phone number and you can text and questions during the process

Its not that hard though. I really think if you were to buy the match paint and just finish it off with that it would be badass
