Anyone here replace your factory fogs with yellow ones?

I've seen a 3rd gen on youtube with yellow lenses/housing, but he won't tell me where he got them. I've tried to PM him as well as video comment.
I think they'd look cool on my blue sport.

guys gay if he won't share information. like he's the only one with yellow fogs. What a dick. That entire video is pretty dumb as well so don't bother watching it. Camera is all over, bouncing, and he never even jumps on the throttle. It's like going for a drive with miss daisey.

I've got my Hellas with Ambers in them. i use my fogs regularly and i don't wanna look at yellow all the time. it's not as bright on the road and I don't like the yellow look all the time. it's's kinda ricerish on the open road with no fog present IMO.
Our factory Fogs are made by Hella, so I'm sure they make an Amber colored foglight that you could swap your out for. They may be expensive, but they are out there

I would get hid with 3k temp bulbs so it lights up yellow

 

Ok, I've found yellow 9006 bulbs on fleabay, but was told to stay away from them because they can melt the wiring harness.

Not interested in ruining wiring over a set of light bulbs. What do you guys think?

 

You can also get a 3m overlay for the fogs. I'm sure they would be more than happy to do it yellow for you.

 

I would stay away from ebay. Check out ddm tuning for HID's

 

you could also buy harness extensions so the harness doesn't melt.
If the lights are rated for the correct wattage, then the cause of the harness melting isn't due to excess current, but rather it is caused from a poor connection which may be typical of fleabay bilbs. With a harness extension, you'll move the "bad" connection away from the factory harness and then the connection will be made at the expendable harness connection.

Unless the yellow tint on the bulb causes the bulb to retain too muck heat... If thatis the case, then reflector and lens damage might also be a concern.

I went to Hella's website. They make a direct fit yellow 9006 bulb set in 55watt rating (that's factory, won't melt wires).

For the price of what Hella charges, your prob better off buying an HID conversion kit. I ziptied the ballasts right to the bumper frame and they were plug'n'play. They will be 3x's as bright as halogen bulbs from Hella for the same price. You don't have to worry about flicker or lamp out warning with the foglights because they are not part of the canbus system like the headlights are.
But remember, you will still have clear lenses. It's just the bulb that is yellow.
