Check your owners manual for Courtesy Lamp features. It may be shut off. You could also check your fuses and or bulbs.

it may not be the key coming out of the ignition but the key being turned to the off position that turns the lights on.

dude do you really shut off the truck and take the key out and wait....for anything? I know they come on when you mopen the door, hit the unlock,or reopen door,However my reg driving lights come on when I exit at night and unless they go out by them selves,I press the unlok on my remote....shoulbe the lock button you would think....but I'll check on mine and get back too this thread 2nite.

Just went out for a spin too draian 400 gallons of rain out the back...No cover yet,. Anyways went around the block parked the truck and shut off motor, then pulled key and sat there...........nothing......gotta believe it's door operated and not a key deal. Dunno bout the headlights but thats only when I use them at night.

I noticed that these trucks have two setting for headlights. If you turn the headlights off and then turn the key off, everything works as stated. If you turn the key off and then turn the headlights off, the headlights remain on for the courtesy period of whatever you set it at, 30/60sec.
