Default tire and rim thoughts ?

so im going to put on a leveling kit but what size should i get? a 2"

im thinking about the mickey thompson classic ll 17x9 but would like to know what you guys think about this rim, if its a good choice.

and now tire choices im planning on going with a 35" (35x12.5x17) tire hopefully that fits with the leveling kit, im looking at the nitto mud grappler, toyo open country mt and bf goodrich ta km.

i would like an agressive tire for offroading but that will last with driving on pavement.

let me know what you guys think about all of this please give me your opinion.

btw its a 03 ram 1500

Tyler

Hope you got deep pockets they are worth the coin. But they are expensive, I'd go 2" cuz you may need a spare set of wheels that won't look retodded!!

Look at a 2-2.5 inch level, but if you have the 4by just turn up the torsion bars for a free 2 inches. The mickey thompson rims are an awesome rim. They are a really strong. If you're wanting to run a 35's, you might end up looking at a spacer for your rim so it doesn't rub, but if you really need to know ask smkn or hammer. Good info there.

ok......First, you can crank your tortion bars to get the level here is the directions

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-lift-diy.html

second, great choice in rim

Third, 35x12.50 will have slight rub while turning if you don't mind neither do I!! Tires, I love the Mud Graps!! Nice roar on pavement mean as hell off road!!! If you are looking for higher marks on pavement look at the Nitto Trail grap it is getting great reviews, and Toyo is still a great MT.

Hope this helps

BTW, IMO stay away from the BF's. That's a no go. Look at either toyo or nitto.

Ok Tyler, you are not following here. You DO NOT need to buy a leveling kit!!! look at the link I posted, crank the t-bars til it is level, probably 2" or 2-1/4" is what it will take.

If you get the right backspacing on the new wheels you will NOT need spacers!
