If you're paying $615 a month you've put yourself in an unwise financial situation. Stop trading and buying new stuff. Pay off the truck you have. Keep it at least a few years after it's paid for. Try to save cash for the next one.

I have a mixed opinion. If your paying $600 dollars a month or more for you vehicle it leads me to believe you either can't afford it in the first place or are an idiot for having those kind of payments to begin with.

On the other hand, considering the postion you have already put yourself in, if you can get a newer model with more options for the same payment, go for it.

Just my .02 worth.

Well a lot of this depends on warranty. If you bought your '08 new, and I'm gonna assume you did, then you'd have the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. The used '09 would not have lifetime powertrain as Dodge doesn't offer it any longer and even if they did, it was NOT transferable.
With you putting 1000 miles A WEEK on your truck, IMO you are really gonna want a powertrain warranty that is LIFETIME with NO MILEAGE LIMIT.

KEEP WHAT YOU GOT...

Hmm that's a pretty high car payment. But 18k is a pretty good trade in also! I paid cash for mine, if you can do it, its worth not having a couple hundred extra a month. Just think of how much of each dollar ACTUALLY pays for the truck with a 48mo loan.

I would keep yours. But like Frog said, chill on the mods and lower your payment. Remember, interest is a bitch! 1k in the bank earns WAY less than 1k in a loan draws in interest

And you can sell that new lift and wheel/tire combo cheap to me

If your truck was paid of I'd say no but since it is about the same payments and a lil longer then its a toss up, good thing about used is the bugs are worked out of it, usually the bad part breaks a couple thousand miles after you buy it. I would do it just for the fact that its a newer model but then again your stuck with a payment longer.

I agree with Hammer. Keep your truck and the Lifetime powertrain warranty. That's my plan, but my payments only $287
