Not necessarily. It will depend most times on what tires are OE to your vehicle. If they aren't speed rated, it will be governed to just below the tire rating. My stock Goodyear LS's were rated to 112mph, so the governor kept the truck from going past 105. A soon as I put the GTII's (rated to 130) on, I lifted it with the Superchips and easily buried it (at least 120 and a little bit more, no GPS).

I did that on the stock good years (no superchips no lift no gears no CAI no exhaust). And now I have Nitto Terra Grapps. I have only done 85 since I got them, a couple weeks ago.

I hear ya my Nittos have not seen 90. When I raced the 2nd gen I had my old Good Year Ats, thats when I had my stock 20s.
