Has anyone used an antenna like this on their Ram?

Can't help - sorry.
I would also like to know though. If there is room then I'd suspect it should work,
I've always thought retractable antennae were classy.

I think I may buy one of those. the end of it that connects to my deck is broken so it needs to be replaced anyway. Sad thing is....of all my mechanical know-how I dont know how to remove the antenna wire.

Again, I'm not at my truck and my memory fades occassionally, but I think there is a special wrench to remove the top part of the antenna housing. I used a pair of channel locks to tighten it once. I had my inter fender out last year and failed to look at the antenna from the inside. But it is no biggy to pull the fender well again as I think this is how you get to the bottom of the antenna. Anyone with recent experience?.

yea i did it all from the outside. You can use channel locks to get that nut off the top. Its hard not to scratch the paint to tighten it back up (if you paint the nut)
heres a schematic
