My thoughts are, that it is ruined without stripping it down for a through cleaning including replacing bearings and seals. How long do you think you have before the electrical problems start appearing? I hope this is not your DD. Save the pictures as I think it'll turn into a very expensive photo shoot. Good luck...
Can you imagine, all the fine grit polishing away at the bearings and seals.
That axle is dead meat.
