Default 2005 5.7 4x4 running bad

Took it to autozone, codes are p0404, 456, and 457. When going about 25-30 mph the rpms surge and fall back over and over from about 900-1200 rpm. When going down the interstate, I can get on the throttle and it will hesitate for a second then it's like blast off! I cleaned the throttle body yesterday It was dirty and looked like it might be having trouble opening up but it didn't help. The truck has 55k miles on it and to my knowledge has never had a tuneup. I bought it used last year. Could these codes be contributing to my problem? Could it be a bad EGR or PCV? I'll pick up a K&N filter cleaner kit tomorrow. Tell me it's nothing major that's going to cost me more than I can afford right now!

Well first of all, Dodge calls for a complete tune up EVERY 30,000 MILES. So if you are at 55k miles and it's NEVER had one, it's no wonder the truck is running like sh*t!

The P404 is for the EGR which should have been replaces by about 40k at the latest and the other two are for a minor evap system leak. Probably a bad fuel cap, but there is a complete diagram of your evap system in the FAQ section. Trace it and look for a bad hose clamp, especially around the cannister if the fuel cap doesn't fix you up.
