Default 07 Axle in 03 Truck (ABS switchover question)

I nearly finished my axle swap from an 07 1500 to my 03 1500 and at the last moment I realized the ABS connector was slightly different. Since it was just two wires I tried quickly splicing the wires but the ABS light is still on. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the ABS to work? Maybe pulling the sensor out of the 03 and see if it will work?

Did you do a PCM re-set?
Also, I do know for sure that when you do that or disconect the ABS sensor, the truck needs to be driven for about 30 feet or so and then the ABS light goes off. At least it does on my 03 when I do a cold PCM reset/skim reset.

i'm going to have mine apart shortly so would like to hear how this works out. That rear sensor is a shared sensor for RWAL/VSS and sends it's signal on the J1850 multiplex circuit. i would think a proper splice is vital to it's function. Good luck

Also I did bleed the brakes without using a scanner, would this cause it?
