Thats the easiest and most legal way. But then i guess "legal" would still depend on your state laws.

Yeah, i tried that with a shop and was told no very quickly. But I told them I know THEY couldnt remove the cats and I wasnt asking them to. I was asking them to take a piece of pipe and weld flanges to it and they wouldnt.

So I went to another shop out of town and ditched the cats altogether.

I haven't checked for awhile but you use to be able to buy "test pipes" from Auto Zone or the like.

These were actually made to replace specific models of cats. Sold for testing only. I think the vehicle had to be three years old before the pipe was made available. I asked about one for my Toyota and at the time was told the vehicle was too new.

Ive never seen them and Im very sure they dont have them down here......LOL

if you could buy them then that is great because it would help. I know they sell just pipe down here and ever some you can kink and bend at home and use couplers to clamp it all together with.

Ut seems they are still available. eBay has a statement about them and have them for sale. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...onverters.html

Nice info and fine. I have never heard of them or even seen those down here. Ever.

Those would be good to have but you would still have to weld flanges on the original exhaust.
