You'd have to weld it or find a way to clamp it on yourself, because unless you paid a shop to do it after hours and under the table no shop will remove the cat for you. If that shop was caught doing that or having done that for you would face BIG penalties by law. You'd also have to do the o2 sensor non fouling trick so it didn't throw codes and cause your motor to run like ****.

I haven't done it, I was just giving you the little info I have on the subject. Maybe someone else will chime in.

My cat came out with the longtube header installation. Good luck even getting a shop to flange a "test pipe" for you though. They know what it is. Theres only one thing a 24" pipe is used for... most wont touch it

Why bother, they flow good and you won't gain much of anything except stinking exhaust.

If you want to get more tone from your truck or more power just buy a high flow cat.

These newer trucks are tempermental and if you run no cat you will lose a great deal of back pressure in the motor and pretty much ruin your valves by sucking air back thru your exhaust sys every time you let of the gas.

But its your truck so....

and the nice thing about the current hemis, they come stock with high flowing cats to start with. At least thats what Ive been told...maybe someone will present evidence that suggests otherwise.

See learn something new every day.

I never knew that but from experience, its never a good idea to remove a cat from anything 99 and up.

Just ask my buddy about his "other" truck.

Is there a specific reason that you want to remove the cats?
