Default Need help. Looking at purchasing my first Ram, a 2003 QC 2500 4x4 with 5.7L Hemi

Hi everyone. New here. I'm looking at purchasing my first Ram, a 2003 Quad Cab, 4x4, 2500, automatic with the 5.7L hemi. It has 107000 miles. Since this will be my first Ram I was wondering if there were any major known problems with this year of Ram or anything I need to look for when I go to check out the truck?

Thanks in advance everyone!!

I just read in another thread that there's something wrong with the steering rack in the older model 2500's. Whoever said it mentioned googling "death wobble" or here in the search function

Only known problem I know is lack of tuning for the 03s....that is only a problem if you plan on modding and buying a programmer. Just ask AF Hemi

haha you dont have to just ask me!!! ask ANYONE with an 03 trying to do some heavy performance mods and they'll tell you the same thing i will!

The Rams are the best trucks out there (converted chevy guy talkin). The 03's are actually the worst of the Rams though. Still, 03 Ram is better than most others...

Whole new engine and trans management system and a better looking steering wheel. Thats all I can list off the top of my head for differences between the 03 and 04 trucks.

Haha I just know that you were about ready to shoot someone in a thread awhile ago talking about lack of tuning!
But he has a great point, although there are some down sides, its still a Ram! Plus he might not even be doing heavy modding so the lack of tuning support might not even effect him!
