anyone using any Innovate logger?
Ok, Ive got my LC-1 and OT-1 installed. For those who have similar and use Logworks software to log with, you know we have to program everything through LM Programmer first.
My question is with the OT-1 connected to the OBD port and to the laptop via USB, if you open LM Programmer and go to the second tab called "Protocols?Channels", what is your Protocol set to?

Well I fear you will have better luck than me. I had no issues wiring it all up and I need to post what all PID's I can monitor. I know I get all the important ones but I need to really know what communication protocol it is.
There is only ONE reason, and one reason alone i'm having better luck as a whole so far (then again I havent ACTUALLY done anything yet...). That reason is YOU. I've learned so much from your experiences and tried to learn from your mistakes. I wouldnt have half the success you are if I was the one doing everything first. I owe you a huge thanks.
by the way... lemme know when that tool hits the mail.

So there are 5 protocols. They are ISO 9141, ISO 14230, J1850-VPW (GM), J1850-PWM and ISO 15765 (CAN).
From what I can tell, ISO is European and Chrysler while VPW is General Motors and PWM is Ford

ISO15765-4 (CAN)
ISO14230-4 (Keyword Protocol 2000)
ISO9141-2 (Asian, European, Chrysler vehicles)
J1850 VPW (GM vehicles)
J1850 PWM (Ford vehicles)
Can you guys please tell me if you are using the J1850 VPW or the ISO9141

i dont know of very many if any people on this forum that are gonna be able to knowledgeably answer your questions about the innovate man. you're gonna plowin the trail on this one.
what would make sense to me is using the ISO9141 because its for Chrysler vehicles. But what do i know? I dont even have a clue what you're talking about by what protocol to use. I'm sure it'll make more sense when I'm going through this in 2 weeks

It is the communication the PCM uses. I called Innovate and they gave me some things to try but im not sure it will help. Im going to try it out on my buddys DR today when i get off work and see if it works in his truck. I have a feeling its just something with my truck it doesnt like and it could be because its an 04. It could be because Im custom tuned and it could be neither
well definitely post what you do to try to figure it out. I have a feeling my 03 is gonna give me the same (or different) problems.
If you think it might be the tune, try loading in the 93 Tune just to get the Innovate working right, then switch back to the custom tune to drive it. Would that work?
