I thought removing the rear bumper will void any insurance funding if you get rear ended? I'm sure it will look great, but me personally, I couldn't fathom driving around a 5,000lb.+ truck without a hitch. Can't wait to see pictures though..
its called a hideaway hitch. and if you dont tow anything whats the big deal...
Just cuz you got a roll pan on don't mean you can't still have a hitch!
However, I'd agree that roll pans look good on any truck, not just lowered one's. i think that the 02-05's with the flush taillights look sweet with roll pans.

I know what a hideaway hitch is...
Owning a full-size pickup truck without a hitch is like having a family of four children and taking the most rear seat out of the van. A truck is at its best when its towing a load; a bed is limited room and weight wise.
Poor guys...
You guys need hitches to upgrade from those cars you're driving.
Wait a second... I got passed by an accord with a hitch yesterday!!! Does that make it a truck??? Hmmm

Not everyone buys a truck for towing. Some really only ever use the bed. Most guys I know don't even need a truck but rather have one because they like them and feel powerful with one...lol and of course to go to Homedumpo once a year..haha
But I understand what you are saying. My whole purpose of having a fullsize truck IS for towing.
Also, just because someone owns a truck doesn't mean they actually have a trailer in their yard to pull around. I sure didn't, although i always able to borrow one which was nice.
I'll agree that anyone who owns a 2500 who doesn't have a hitch is a bit of a waste unless it's used for plowing/construction. I just can't justify the 2500 expense if you never tow or plow anything, but same could go for owners of Dually's who don't run a 5th wheel...etc....
