You read the title right! Im in shock... My buddy has a 2008 4x4 F250 Superduty with the 6.4L Powerstroke completely stock. and he called me tellin me he is in town and wanted to see what my trucks got, I kept sayin I didnt want to race him and all that because I knew I would get destroyed... I have a 4.7L with 3.55s and a few performance mods.. Well he talked me into it...
First we raced from 20-60ish, I pulled away instantly by about a hood length and we were neck and neck at about 60 when we both let off. Then 0-50ish, from the get go he pulled away (obviously because of his torque) but I soon caught up at about 45 then we let off. Last we went from about 10-80 and man was that intense, I pulled away to about 50 until I hit 2nd gear, then he caught up and was leading by about about half a truck length and it was that way until about 80...
Man I was not expecting that at all!!! I was expecting to get creamed! All in all, this 4.7 does have alot more power to it than I thought! Sorry about how long this is, but Im just so darn proud of my little dodge Fords suck

Beating him in a race is not much of a feat. Fords may suck, but I can hook a chain to the back of your truck and pull you all over town with my 4.6 F150. How do I know this? I have already done this with my Ram 4.7 and Ford 4.6. Speed wise my Ram will run circles around my F150 all day long.

a powerchoke is kinda like takin home a fat chick to me. sure, its big and (bad), but in the end is still pretty dern ugly.

only ford i'd drive at this point (modern day rides anyways), would be a raptor. and not for looks.

 

Like OP, like comparing apples to oranges. I would try your 5.7 though, with one of my work trucks with the 6.8.

 

I mean beating a 6.4L turbo diesel in a 4.7L V8 is kinda shocking to me....and yea I know it had more torque and could pull me around..I didnt say we had a tow off or snatched each other.

I'm not sure how they do in a 250, but we have a 350 dually here with the 6.4 liter and it is sssllllowwww. A little quicker than the previous 6.0s but nothing to brag about.
