Default Check Engine Light Question...

So last week my check engine light came on and when i used my programmer to check the code it gave me p0138. which indicated a bad bank1-sense2, o2 sensor. I cleared the code and changed my program setting back to economy and havent got the light back since, should i just ignore it as a 1 time thing or should i be concerned? thanks

You aren't going to have a catastrophic failure even if it comes back on. I am getting the same code and my dodge mechanic said to drive it. He also said that if my mileage starts dropping and the exhaust starts smelling funny then it's time to change the o2 sensor. They are about 75-80 dollars. If it comes on again, disconnect the battery for about an hour.

That's not a major code, if the light is gone, then don't worry about it for now. It wouldn't hurt to read up in case it comes back - http://www.obd-codes.com/p0138

The sensor is failing more than likely. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
