Default speedometer adjustment

so I have a 2005 dodge ram hemi and I want to put in 4.88 gears and larger tires. I'm also gonna buy the diablo predator tuner but I've hears that doesn't take care of you speedometer? Does anyone know what has to be done to adjust the speedometer properly? thanks

Super chips will take care of the speedo error for you, when you put your new tyres on.
You don't need to change anything when doing just the gears.

DSP or SC will do that as said above. I used to have a SC3865 and had no issues changing my speedo. I have a DSP now and have had no issues with it either.

On a side note I am curious as to what all your mods are that you want to use 488s and what your tire sizes are?

Or just determine the error and live with it.

Like weed said. The DSP should allow you to adjust the tire size. Mine did.

thanks guys....as far as what mods I have... I have a t56 magnum 6 speed manual that I put in. Gear ratios being first 2.97 to .5 sixth gear. At the moment My first gear goes up to 45mph and in sixth gear at 2000rpm I'm at 100mph. My rear end is 3.92 and tires are stock 33inch. What I wanna do is put 35 and 4.88 gears. This will make my first gear considerably shorter and allow for a much quicker launch, less cluth wear for daily driving, and finally make my sixth gear more reasonablt( 86mph at 2000rpm). Now as far as the person who said I won't need to adjust my speedometer if I just do gears? How is that the case? Id I put 4.88 I would figure my speedomter would be showing that I'm going faster than I'm actually going.

the reason i ask about the speedomoter is because I hears that the speedometer gets its reading from the abs module and not the pcm itseld hence I don't see how the dsp would be able to correct it. I could be wrong though
