You can forget the VHT for the eyelids.

For 40 bucks, I think I would buy the ebay top ones. I thought they were more expensive, might be on my spring break list. Heres my vinyl ones, but I think I like the Ebays more
between vht and paint or primer and paint//Or the vinyl is it me or would it be better flat vinyl not glossy as shown. flat may just look better imo but yeah fiber and the big bucks seems the way too go on this one

Aiden, as your cohort in the effort of building the ultimate dodge ram(blacked out that is)Im advising you to only get the top.

Haha do what you want man...I think it looks goofy as heck, but to each their own. If you black out your lights, you cant even really see them (as my most recent pictures show)

Rocket, AP is adhesion promoter (Bullydog, $15-$20/can). You dont have to sand the lens with the tape downs. Its will turn out better for a little more than the same price with the tape down ebay ones. Im trying to get as much info in a few posts as I can, because as Dirty said, this is someone elses thread.

A can of dealer match paint is like $18 for a 5oz can (at my dealer). My local auto paint shop quoted me at $24 for a 12oz match can.
Ebay Eyelid-So say ~$20 basecoat,~$6 clear, $40 ebay eyelid= ~$65 (and its removable)
Paint on (match)- ~$5 sandpaper, ~$15 Adhesion promoter, ~$8 primer, ~$20 basecoat, ~$6 clear=~50 in supplies (permanent)

see my logic?

If any of you decide to do the VHT lids the process is the exact same as the tails. I have pics of when i did mine the first time and I didnt think they were dark enough so i used brake cleaner and took them back down to bare plastic and redid them.
heres what mine looked like the first time. as you can see the top edge of the silver backing shows through pretty easily. and the amber strip was visible too. so i redid them.
