Default rear problems

hey everybody

i got some problems here with my truck. my rear is sound like a jet engine. i had my buddy look at it who is pretty good with trucks and he said my bearing caps are worn out pretty good. im not great with **** like this so i have no idea what they are. he said he didnt think they were replacable but he also had a few in him at the time. if anyone here could help and give some advice on what i nedd that would be great. i was already told by another to look into getting a whole rear assy from a junk.

ah, I don't buy it... My bet is you have the stock LSD and the "C-Clips" have broken off and are imploding the gears. The key is to get them out of there before they take your ring and pinion out to lunch with them.

Probably the single most talked about topic on the forum after "what size tires...." Do a search here and even on Google for "C-Clips" and you can read to your hearts content...
