Default Leaf Springs

Anyone know if you can take leaf springs off a 3rd gen 2500 and put them on a 3rd gen 1500? Same eye to eye or no? Just wondering for the extra weight capacity..

it would only work with major fabrication (lots of grinding and welding new brackets).

Agree with RH (for once) you can get into a set of bags for around $200 if you don't opt for the onboard compressor and will make a 100% difference...

The 2500 springs are wider than the 1500 (2 1/2 in) ones so won't mount. You can buy a set of HD springs for 1500, which is 4 plus 1 leaf vice 3 plus one leaf. They are good for approx 2050 lb load vice 1750. I have priced these and they are about 350 USD a spring. Not sure but they will also give an inch or two lift. I plan to install them on my truck. Already have the longer U-Bolts frequired rom Perf. Lifts and believe the spring part # is HD3145. For USA I got a quote from Stengal Bro. I plan to get them at my local spring shop for $800 Cdn a pair (come with bushings in place). Skyjacker softride is another option too.

Im going with a type of helper spring like the hellwigs, instead of 2500lbs, they're 2300, so i think they'll do fine.. I appreciate the quick replys guys.
