Question Couple Questions

I'm selling my chrome front bumper off my truck. Just the bumper itself with out the brackets. My buddy has an 07 2500 will the front bumper work on his truck. Will his brackets line with holes on the bumper to mount tthe bumper to the truck. Also, I tried to install my add a leaf yesterday and ran into a problem. I removed both rear tires, I removed both shocks and loosen alll 4 u bolts. I had the frame of the truck supported on jack stands and a floor jack under the rear. I removed one side of the u bolts and went to lower the axle and the leafs do not separate for the axle. The instructions told me to lower the axle and leafs and the axle should separate. Does anybody know what I could have done wrong or if I missing a step. lol

My guess is the bolt that holds the spring pack together is stuck to the axle perch. Did you smack it with a hammer to knock it loose?

From what I understand b/c I'm lookin for a new front bumper is that all you have to do is just switch the brackets from the 1500 to the 2500 or vise versa... If it doesn't work out..I still need a bumper...

The bumper will bolt right up.

What do you mean you "removed one side of the ubolts?" Take the ubolts off and the leafs will separate from the axle. You may need to lift the frame higher.

Gotcha, I thought you only removed one nut off each ubolt. lol

You just need to jack up the frame more. It's amazing how much arch the springs have when unloaded.
