its easy to get the dash trim off the and put in a new HU i usually have the cup holder open and just start pulling from the bottom might be a little stiff at first but its just plastic clips holding it in there is no screws for mine.

You take the thinnest flathead you have (after you take the cupholder screws out) at the top left side (by the odometer), stick it in and pry enough to get your fingers under to pull strait out...then work your way around

I never put my cupholder screws back in. No problem with rattling or looseness or anything. It has metal tabs that squeeze as you pull, just man up

is the seat belt bolt or the seat bolt a safe ground to use?

There are several bolts on firewall. Two of them hold a cover from cab to engine bay. Both of those are good grounding spots. That's where I have my amp grounded to.

i used one of the bolts that holds the seat frame down to ground my amps. make sure to sand off the paint on the bolt so that metal is exposed.

k its all done...biggest PITA everrrr cuz nothing seemed to go right for me. ended up drilling a hole under the carpet for the ground....then the amp wont turn on? WTF! well i tested the cnnections, all had power. so the amp basically fried for no apparent reason. i guess it was just too old (5-6 years). so i got a $200 JL amp made specifically for my subs. now everything sounds AMAZING. it pounds haha. overall i spent close to $500 between the HU and amp, and another $600 on the subs/box/wiring. $1100! ill be spending lightly for awhile now needless to say
