Default Porting the TB

Im interested in porting my existing throttle body, currently 68mm if memory serves. Anyone have experience doin it themselves? I like what fastman has goin on with his ported TBs, but if i can do it with a rotary tool or the lathe i will. I have bored out Mikuni round slide carbs on sleds before but never had to deal with stuff like MAF sensors etc (on my 02 4.7 the MAF sensor is in the TB after the butterfly valve therefore i cant see any issues with leaning out).... Also, any issues with running a custom tune? Thanks!

I think boring out the body would be easy enough, but I question how to manufacture a butterfly with the proper fit.

I thought about doing this as well, but I just sucked it up and bought one from thefastman. I'm glad I did, because though I haven't installed it yet as I'm waiting on my CAI to com in first, I checked this thing out and I just gotta say, a babys bottom has never been so smooth! This thing is just perfect. I'm glad I spent the money, I can't wait to get it on!

Well the fatman TB's are not a true bore, they are a ventury style bore so the plate is the same as stock and tyhe n it tapers out to from there.

Ive got 4 TBs and one of them is in front of my now at work. It is the one in those pics and I will be putting it on the lathe here at work and taking it down to the shaft on both sides and hand porting under the shaft.

Ive taken one apart and there is no way to get the shaft out as far as i can tell.
