i spent the money and put a volant on my 03 ram, which is bored .030 over and stroked, camed and to much others to list i have around 10k in the motor and tranny and it puts out 470hp. but the volant came with a upgraded mass air flow sensor and be sure not to put that K&N oil on your filter cause it will suck into the intake tube and mess up the mass air flow sensor and cause a code on the computer. that is what happened to my future father in laws 05 ram when he went cheap and tried to compete with my ram rod truck. DO YOUR HOME WORK.

If you apply the oil to the K&N per the manf. instructions it will be just fine. I have the K&N on my LS1 which in a mere few inches from my ported/polished MAF with screen modded out...I have never had that problem. If you're sucking K&N oil into your MAF on a Dodge CAI, you've got way to much oil on it.

Too much oil or it wasn't dry enough before you added the oil? Maybe both?

that much pipe is sure to absorb a lot of engine heat..........

Not trying to hijack a thread but Ive been looking at making an intake on my truck and was wondering what size diameter piping everyone is using and what made you choose that size. And again im not trying to hijack the thread.

I have the Volant. It did NOT come with an upgraded sensor on my 05.
It's an great intake and really cleans up the engine bay in case anyone ever wants to look under there at a show, but, I would just do ****ter tube in the future if I had to do it again

The Volant connects to the Hemi hat though & not the TB doesn't it? It looks great but I see no advantages to it with the air box, looks like the same type of inlet to the air box. Only plus I see with it is no ripples in the air path from the air box to hemi hat. It does look good though.
