I used 3" PVC(that is the diameter of the TB) It dosent take much at all, I got 1-24" PVC and 3-elbows from hardware store.

I agree the vararam looks sweet but didn't suit my driving habits when I used to 4x4.
The Volant is goin to be sittin on the shelf soon anyways when I order up my twin turbo kit.

Those of you looking for a diy go into the faqs for the 3rd gen and theres a write up in there

Talking materials list for CAI

I used:
1- 24" piece of 3" PVC (cut into a few sizes)
3- 45 degree PVC elbows
1- PVC cement
1- 1" to 3/4 adapter for a hose (I just found this part by mistake but it worked better than what I had imagined)
1- air temp sensor(you can get the one out of the HEMI hat but I wanted to buy one so I can return my stock air box if need be)
1- 3 1/2" high flow cotton fiber air filter (NOTE:3" PVC is actually 3 1/2" on the out side, 3" inside.
1- 3" coupling for PVC to TB.

*take my advice take your time when cutting your PVC and cut it straight*

Idk...something just strikes me odd about plumber's hardware installed on my truck. I am just fine with my factory airbox until I can afford a kit, that's just me though.

DO YOUR HOME WORK.
You must have the only Ram ever built with a MAF because Dodge uses a speed density system and there is no Mass airflow sensor.
