Default TQ Converter For Sale....

No not mine, ran across this on another forum and some of you may want to check it out.

http://hemitruckclub.infopop.cc/eve/...52/m/644103605

I know it is used BUT its $35 shipping to APS, $70 for them to replace the inards and make it like new and another $35 to ship it back. Thats a steal of a deal there....

The last time i talked to them about it he said he'd cut it open, clean everything out and replace any worn parts or any parts that needed repaired. Call aps first if you want to double check. Again those are the prices i got last year when i was looking to do that with my first one

that is a killer deal! i know Edge charges like $90 to open em up and redo em. but with that deal you are looking at a TC for like $240. being as they go for like $500 new, i would jump on that if i didnt already have one.

Man, I am torn. The tc is my next mod after the cam but I just can't quite convince myself to buy a used tc off a blown trans (or whatever happened to his trans). I am going to have to give them a call and see how much they want to redo the internals and what exactly they would replace.

from my understanding (this is what andre told me once) is they open it up. totally clean the whole thing out. replace the bearings, and check for any abnormal wear and tear on ALL the internals and replace as needed. so basically, you end up with a new TC. thats what edge did with mine after my tranny blew up. im almost positive APS does the same.

Not worth it. After you add up all the shipping costs and then the repair costs, you saved a tiny bit of money to go through all that hassle and wasted time. Time is money itself...
Not to mention the seller says next month sometime..What a joke. Either pull it and sell it or don't list it until it's pulled. I hate those types of sales.

i wouldnt call it a waste of time. when i bought my first used tc i was going to do this but oppted to take it some where local instead and they fukked it upto the point that i just bought it new. but for $100 + $70 shipping + $70ish for repairs beats the hell out of $600 new. Id call aps and check with them and then pm the seller and find out some more information
