So after many searches, I still can't find what I'm trying to find. Has anyone done any mods to make the window switches auto in up and down?
I have a 2007 Ram 1500 Sport Regular Cab and the driver's window is auto-down. I'm trying to find switches, or a mod, that would make both windows auto up and down.

heck i have the auto down and it does not even work...im not sure whats wrong I have tried resetting it but it does not work. As far as my thoughts were i thought it was both ways, but i guess not. Chances are you might not get what you want. Thats all done in the electronics of the window motor and all the funny codes in there. You MIGHT be able to get a scanner on there and re-program it. However it will not be as simple as just a switch or a wire, i can tell you that much

 

I know on mk3 supra's its a fairly simple procedure. Im sure its similar for most vehicles. Maybe you should try find a write up for another car??

 

My VW (sadly sold, but will get another soon!) has this option on all 4 windows. Gotta love the German thinking!!

 

its the switch that makes the auto up/down work. mechanically/electrically. thats why theres a click to it. if you found the right switch, you could hook it up in the module, and in theory, it should work. ive been thinking of doing this for some time now.

 

Yea mine didnt work for the first 6 mo, I guess I had to break it in...I know what you are saying though, it would be nice. I only roll my windows down about 1/3 way though, not as much wind noise that way

Like john said, its a switch. If you could find the driver side window controller and get four of them, im pretty sure they would all work
