Probox...or no?
so i finally get my subs/HU installed and i love it. only complication was that my previous amp just wouldnt work, no clue why. so i dropped another 200 on a JL g1300 amp that is basically meant to be the amp to power my JL 12's. blah blah blah, sounds amazing, the HU makes the stocks sound crystal clear, im in love with it. only problem...using my old sealed angled square dual 12" enclosure from when the subs just went in my bmw trunk. so no i have this massive box sitting in the back seat, and no one can ride back there and it looks trashy as hell. my friend just called and he has a dual 12" probox he can get me for $100. sounds like a deal to me! only ive heard yall think proboxes suck and foxboxes rule. i wish i could afford a foxbox but i cant, and i was just going to keep my sqaure box until i got the $$$. so question: you think my r/t dual 12" sealed box or the dual 12" probox will sound better? got the g1300 amp pushing 2 12" JL W1's at 2 ohms. 150W each subs getting and they POUND. i just dont want to lose any boom if i switch to the probox, so i need yalls opinions. thanks guys. id post pics but it just looks retarded sitting in my back seat...maybe ill post the HU picks if anyones interested. well with w1's you can but you will lose some boom because there is less airspace, but if you really need the back seat then the boom has to sacrifice. If not, and if you want major boom then take out one of rear seats and build a enclosure that bolts up to that location, or fab up a rear center console.
will my w1's have enough airspace in the probox? The box has .6 for each sub, i just want to make sure its enough. 12w1v2-4 jl audio's
