LCD TV in Headrest?
Eh, I suppose that's the way the world is headed. I remember when we first got cable at the end of middle school. Before then we had 3 channels and we only got to watch something if my old man wasn't watching the news.
at the end of middle school i had a cellphone lol...
I like the head-rest monitors myself, although I don't have them yet. I'm not excited over the idea of a flip-down monitor either.
Who makes a good brand of integrated monitor?
I ask this, because I already have a Philips portable dual display dvd player with a video/audio input option which was about 170 dollars and I like the video performance, but the audio performance is less than stellar.
We have a long road trip coming up this summer to Wisconson Dells and I'd like to have the ability to let the (two outside) kids have a head-rest monitor and the poor inside hid get the portable display sitting on the folded down center seat/armrest. I'd do rear audio with headphones, 'cause I'm not crazy about hearing movies/video games and not being able to see them.

i didnt want to block the view of my mirror. That is why i want headrest style LCD's.
My Kenwood in dash also plays dvd's and i can separate the output to the front and rear speakers to have music up front and dvd in back.

Totally off the subject and excuse my ignorance but I had no idea people came down from canada to go to the dells. It is a cool place but not a place I would think of people traveling from other countries to see. Enjoy
Hehehe
my family (wife and three kids), and an old friend and his family (wife and three kids) are renting a house near some sort of resort there. We always have a great time when we get together, and expect this to be the same.
Only thing different, Is I'm taking the 3rd gen and may be returning with something heavy on a trailer (pull type camper or boat - I'm not sure yet).

do a flipdown. headrest look good for a lil bit but after about 6 months they start looking like crap. they pull away. i have installed many sets of them even the replacements like the one pictured above and they all end up looking like crap. flip down is the best bet.
I've hasd mine installed for nearly 3 years now and they still look and perform like new.
