I have a Pioneer AVIC Z series with an internal 60Gb hard drive. It allows me to load a CS and record it to the HDD so I do not have to handle, keep up with or scratch CDs. It has Gracenotes and NAVI. Both are updatable. It has BT, voice command, both satellites, ipod, DVD and pretty much everything there is to have seriously. I could not ask for a better HU. There are newer ones out there but lots of them no longer come with internal HDDs and give you the NAVI maps on DVD. I dont like having to keep up with them and risk the chance of them getting lost or scratched.

My HU will hold up to 400 music albums BTW.

Alright, i went to go get the Pioneer avh-p3200dvd today. I agreed to let them pull it around and install it for me so they would warranty it if anything went wrong with it in the next 3 years. but not even 5 seconds later the installer came up to me and said they couldn't install it because i didnt have the factory nav unit or the nav unit bezel. I didn't know what to say so i just told them to pull it back around. i told the manager guy I was told by another radio shop that all i had to do was trim off the bar in the middle and the Nav unit dash kit would do the rest. He says "well buddy thats what you get for calling another radio shop." Was i told wrong? Can you make it fit?

To make it look decent you will need a navi bezel... you were told right. You could trim the one you have to fit but chances are it will look like poo!

What would make it look like poo exactly? I ask because i was planning on painting it black to match the truck. I believe i forgot to mention that. but anyway I work at a vehicle accessory shop and we do some body work and I can easily fiberglass or use body filler on the edges where it was cut and smooth it out before painting it. Would that work?
