Don't do anything at all. Save your money for the new truck. No one is going to pay extra just because it has a black grill and bumper so you would be losing that money.

I am all for blacking out a truck but if you are going to sell it soon you are probably better off doing nothing. Chances are that whatever you do you will not get that money back out of it when it comes time to sell.

My vote it to keep it and black it out. Why are you not happy with it?

Whatever you do, you're not gonna get back when you sell it. That being said, I know how it is when the mod bug bites and you just have to do SOMETHING.

My vote goes for blacking it out. Powdercoat would be a waste of money. Powdercoating is designed for long-term durability. Since you're not keeping the truck long term, you dont need durability. I'd give that chrome a good sand, primer, and color match black with a rattle can, then a couple coats of clear. You might have $30 in paint.

That leaves you with $470 to spend on someone/something you REALLY care about (the girl), and also leaves you with a truck you're content with until you sell it.
