its 2wd, got the 4.7, and falling apart lol. Ive had alot of problems with it (and none related to mods). I dont know what I will be getting, and the only reason i would be selling it is to get what I can while its still worth a little bit.

And I didnt figure the spray can paint would look that good. I have seen a few high gloss powdercoated bumpers that look great. I just dont know if the rattle can would hold up?

what do you think the factory uses? it sure aint powdercoat. the only difference out of a rattle can and the professional spray gun is the way it goes on. the paint is really the same stuff. do a couple coats base and a couple coats clear and it'll hold up

I would be selling outright, have 35k miles. I was hoping for 16+, but I dont know. It will have 40k by the time im selling.

A pretty good down payment on a new truck either way

And AF, good point. I wonder how a sanded chrome one would hold up, that was my issue. And my local auto paint store would mix up a 12oz can of match for $27. I figured if I were to do the bumpers, I would sand, clean, AP, etching primer, a couple black base coats, then the color match (about 2 coats) and then a few clear. I wonder how much bumper a 12oz can would do

I know you're gonna be all pimp rich and everything when you graduate. That's what all the kids think in their last year... Are you watching the news at all? Half the country is out of work. You'll have a lot of college graduates with experience competing for those same jobs. Just hold on to that easter basket and don't count your chickens before they hatch. Don't blow money on a truck that you plan on selling anyways. That is the definition of retarded stupidity. That's like buying a diamond ring for a fat chick you just wanna bang a few times!

Frog said it all

I honestly think you should keep the truck, what else do you need? Why do you need more than what you have right now?

And trust me, $35 to $40 an hour does not go nearly as far as you may think it does bro, especially if you arent smart with it! Im making every bit of that and I dont even have a house payment or rent and I still cant seem to build my savings up to where I want it. Unless of course you want to work 45 to 50 hours a week and more.

Yea thats why I stuck with the medical field....Ill be graduating in may with a BSN and working a year or so and going back to CRNA school. We have a crazy shortage here so I wont have a hard time finding a job (im already working at the hospital as a tech).

Now if Obama has anything to do with it I will be working for *******ly nothing, if I have a job, so I guess even being in the medical field I dont have as much security as I should.
I just have the itch to do SOMETHING to my truck, and i figured a couple hundred dollar mod wasnt too bad (I havent put too much into it so far)

And yea, ill be working 12/12s on and 12 off. The last guy that got hired where im wanting to go was hired on at 78k, with no overtime. Nights of course. I was making $10/hour paying rent, paid cash for my truck, and all my bills WHILE IN SCHOOL, I guess maybe im good with money (im a cheap ***), but I think i will be able to survive on that. LA doesn't have a very high cost of living, so that might have something to do with it. Also, my school is paid for through scholarships + a little extra left over for books/fees. Im not married nor have any kids, and she makes plenty so thats not an issue

anyway, I see what yall old guys are saying. Dont spend money on someone elses ride (their future ride at least). I guess Ill just throw this on top of my savings or ring fund. Thats gonna be a nice ring at the expense of my boring truck
