Power wire

This is an Open Loop mode. During engine warmup,
the PCM receives inputs from:
˛ Battery voltage
˛ Crankshaft position sensor
˛ Engine coolant temperature sensor
˛ Intake manifold air temperature sensor
˛ Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
˛ Throttle position sensor (TPS)
˛ Camshaft position sensor signal
˛ Park/neutral switch (gear indicator signal—auto.
trans. only)
˛ Air conditioning select signal (if equipped)
˛ Air conditioning request signal (if equipped)
Based on these inputs the following occurs:
˛ Voltage is applied to the fuel injectors with the
ASD relay via the PCM. The PCM will then control
the injection sequence and injector pulse width by
turning the ground circuit to each individual injector
on and off.
˛ The PCM adjusts engine idle speed through the
idle air control (IAC) motor and adjusts ignition timing

I have the powerwire and a wideband. The a/f does not change at partial throttle with the powerwire or without. I tried both and it is still right around 14.5. Next I am going to try it WOT and see if the a/f changes any with the powerwire vs. without the powerwire.

The POWER WIRE has been reported to richen the AFR by one full point at WOT,

I've got one thats been in my center console for over a year now, you can have it. I did some 1/4 mile times with it on and with it off NO real improvement, little more tire spin out of the hole . Also in the summer month's I found no real mpg increase and from what I understand it's worthless in the winter because of the cold temps.

As said before, the P/W will not give better mpg. The ONLY thing that is going to do that is keeping your foot out of it.
I mean seriously, look at my mods, Ive got an efan, ALL synth oils, gearing, ported heads, LTs, CAI, tuner and more and still no better mpg UNLESS I baby it. The bad thing is thats not fun once you have done everything I have.
The P/W is for fun at WOT only.
