Default Oil pressure

Hey fellas went offroading the other day and was climbing a really steep trail and noticed my oil pressure gauge drop to zero then when I got to the top and leveled out it was back to normal and then the same thing going down hill. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles as well as filter so what could be the problem.

Make sure you have enough oil. Probably going to the way back and then to the way front of the oil pan so the pump goes dry for that time.

IMO, there is no faster way to destroy an engine than to run it without proper oil pressure. If you are going to operate at extreme angles or in high water you must specifically prepare your vehicle for that type of useage, If you don't, than it becomes simply abuse. Example; my boat has a modified baffled oil pan because of the high "g" forces in which it operates. Also, be careful not to over fill the crank case because if the oil become aerated it will lose it's cooling ability and that can also damage your engine. Have fun and good luck...

Need a different oil pan, like everyone else has said at extrem angles the oil being moved away from your pump. There are a few pans out there for doing eaxctly what you are doing so look around online, check out 4wheelparts as they should carry some as well.
