Default Possible tranny problem HELP!!

Hello, I am new to these forums (First post), But i have been reading alot of posts over the past year. I currently have approx. 63,000 miles on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie and i have noticed after the truck is warmed up I get a slight clunking feeling, when the truck shifts from either 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd. Most likely 2nd -3rd because i am using already rolling when i notice it. I have recently flushed the tranny fluid and the rear diff. oil. My truck is still under warranty so was wondering if this is normal or a problem to be covered under warranty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

IMO there shouldn't be any clunking. Possible u joint problem. If you have warranty, take it in for check.

You can jack the rear wheels up and turn the shaft by hand looking for free play. Also you can rotate the wheel again by hand and see if there is play in the rear end. Good luck...

AWD, cool In that case I'm guessing play is in the transfer case. But yes the differentials can be checked as I discribed.
