Transmission
I have an 08 Reg Cab V6 automatic w/only around 7,000 miles.
Ever since I bought the thing it seems to "struggle" sometimes changing gears, especially going uphill. It's weird. Sometimes it will just hang in 1st or 2nd too long, revving up before changing gears. Other times it seems like it doesn't have enough power, and then all of a sudden it changes gears and everything is fine. It was all very subtle at first, so I just assumed it was because of my weak *ss engine. But now it seems like it's becoming a lot more noticeable. Is this normal? Anyone else having this "problem"?

yeah, i feel your pain. i have a 07 V6 regular cab automatic that does whatever it wants when im trying to make it up a hill. not sure if its a transmission problem but maybe its the fact that we have the smallest V6 put into a full size truck. im fixing to invest into a JET chip and see if that helps out along with my cold air intake that comes in the mail tuesday
Yeah, I'd like to make some modifications myself. But I'm waiting for my 3 yr/36,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty to run out first. I know... I'm paranoid.
I always figured it was just the weak V6 causing the "problem". I guess I shouldn't worry about the transmission/engine too much since I have lifetime on both. But I've seen Dodge screw people on that too.

I had to actually Google "gear ratio" to find out what it is & how to check it. I don't know... it sure sounds like a lot of work... I'm not sure that I have it in me.
