diablosport Transmission prime delete tune
That's not correct.
Many of the SC beta testers have watched, in real time, the trans shift into 2p during light throttle up shifting. The old story about 2p that floated around for years was just rumor and conjecture.

So the tuner can state the difference from 2 and 2P? That's what I have no idea about.
I already stated how I got my info.
Regardless of what or how it happens. My Silverado trans wasleaps and bounds ahead of this one as far as up/downshifting went. I can't wait for the beat testing to be done. I want full control dammit.
The only purpose that 2nd prime serves is for downshifting from 3rd or 4th gear. Instead of dipping into a much lower 2nd gear, Chrysler came up with this moronic idea and stick in another gear for "smoother passing".
2nd prime does not get used on the upshifts, only the downshifting. 2nd gear never gets used in downshifting, only upshifting.
The problem with 2nd prime is that it's not as strong of a gear. It's rather weak and is prone to failure when kick down is intense enough. I sure the hell can feel the lag when my truck is in 2nd prime. There is just no oomph unless I'm already going like 45mph and it touches 2nd prime, but to downshift into 2nd prime all the time even at lower speeeds just sucks IMO because it's too tall of a gear compared to 2nd.
It's one of those things that your caught in the middle of....Gotta floor the gas pedal before the truck even wants to begin to downshift and then since you have to hold it to the floor for like EVER, it will slam into 2nd prime rather than go easy. This transmission is meant for OLD PEOPLE. To shift soft and drive like a caddy. i can't stand it.
As already stated, pick up a Sharadon Trans. Being "built' with a shift kit or whatever is not enough. You need extra clutch packs along with the valvebody stuff AND a higher stahl converter that will pump enough fluid through the tranny with a higher HP 392.

there are thoughts that 2p is weaker, but unless you have a built motor (like the OP does) 2p isn't a problem. time to step up to a built trans bud.
There have been ups and downs with the progress towards a release. SC is making good progress now, and the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen.
well fixed the trans issue by getting a stage 3 sharadon 3200 dollars took a while but its in custom edge converter and layed down a woping 675 to the tire on 10lbs with the 392 thanks for all the info and suggestions about the trans.
