your title had me confused. MDS is the Multi-Displacement-System. That controller you linked is an MSD ignition control module.
It looks like it is a spark control module that allows you to set your advance/retard VS the old school distributor cap, but I am not 100% sure. Seems like you shouldn't have to buy an add on module to do this though, your stock PCM should be reading all this already, can't you just get a tuner like an SCT and do this?

That is not anything you want. if you want to control fuel/spark/air..Get yourself a Diablosport Predator U7137. Allows you to make all those changes, but honestly, unless you KNOW what you are doing or have the mods capable of utilizing the benfits, you'll likley blow-up your engine.

if this doesn't make sense now i truly should hang it up.

he meant your sentence structure. You have no comma's or periods. No breaks/pauses to breathe and it's hard to understand when your transistioning from one statement to the next.
Spend some time on your posts. Don't just post as much as possible. You don't need to have perfect grammar to get your point across, just take the extra minute to read back what you just typed. I'm constantly fixing errors.
